Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: small chop Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 16.1 Weather: mostly sun Max Speed: 25.4/2secs (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 55.1 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Thought about Rhosneigr but Rik convinced me too West so 86ltri/5.3m in
Llanfairfechan. First hour wind was bit light but planing all the time then
it picked up and well powered for next 2+ hours. A few chop hops in B&J and
loads of blasts to sandbank and good, planing gybes where flat. Rik about
1-2 knots faster on his Kode 94 then about the same on RRD 85, and on
slightly bigger 5.6m sail. Excellent session as chop decreased near Low.
Saw squall coming so packed up after 102km in just over 3 hours. A couple
of others joined us and chap who I saw a couple of months ago after losing
his kite board said he found it after floating around for 2 weeks, so
there's lucky.
